Job Title: Sponsorship Manager
Job Description:
The Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the sponsorship program within the Sports and Athletics department. This role primarily focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with potential sponsors, securing sponsorship agreements, and ensuring the successful execution of sponsorship activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and approach potential sponsors to establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
2. Develop and implement effective sponsorship strategies to secure financial support and resources for sports and athletic events.
3. Negotiate sponsorship contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal requirements.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their sponsorship needs and align sponsorship opportunities accordingly.
5. Maintain regular communication with sponsors to ensure their satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
6. Oversee the execution of sponsorship deliverables, including logo placements, branding, and promotional activities.
7. Monitor and evaluate sponsorship performance, providing periodic reports on the effectiveness of sponsorship activities.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor sponsorship initiatives to identify potential opportunities for growth.
9. Manage sponsorship budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of funds and adherence to financial guidelines.
10. Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, athletes, coaches, and other relevant parties.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in sponsorship management, preferably within the sports and athletics industry.
3. Strong negotiation and persuasive communication skills to effectively secure sponsorship agreements.
4. Exceptional relationship-building abilities to establish and maintain successful partnerships.
5. Demonstrated understanding of sponsorship strategies and their application in the sports industry.
6. Ability to analyze sponsorship data, measure performance, and provide actionable insights.
7. Strong organizational and project management skills to effectively handle multiple sponsorship campaigns simultaneously.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare compelling sponsorship proposals and reports.
9. Proficient in using relevant software and tools, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. In-depth knowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to sponsorship agreements.
